Terms of use

1. Purpose

These terms of use govern access to and use of the Hola Bambino! service, a free baby registry platform available at holabambino.vercel.app. By using the service, you accept these terms of use.

2. Registration

Creating an account is free and requires a valid email address and a password. Users agree to provide accurate information and to keep their login details confidential. Loved ones invited to view a list do not need to create an account.

3. Description of the service

• Create one or more baby registries and add items from the Hola Bambino! catalogue, links to online shops or second-hand items.
• Choose for each list whether it is private (just for yourself) or shared with your loved ones via a link. A shared list can be viewed by anyone who has the link; it is not indexed by search engines.
• Let loved ones reserve an item to avoid duplicates, and cancel their reservation.
• Browse our product selections and Bambino Magazine articles.

The demo list available from the home page is fictional: reservations made on it are not saved.

4. Role of Hola Bambino! and purchases

Hola Bambino! is a list organisation tool. We do not sell any products and are not a party to transactions between users, their loved ones and retailers. Purchases are made directly on retailers’ websites, under their own terms. A reservation is simply an indication intended to avoid duplicates: it is neither a purchase nor a payment.

Gift contributions. Hola Bambino! never collects any money: a contribution is a promise that your loved ones settle directly with you, or through the online money pot whose link you have added. Hola Bambino! does not receive, hold or pass on any funds. Any online money pots used are provided by third-party services, under their own terms and under their sole responsibility.

Links to third-party websites are provided to make your purchases easier. Hola Bambino! cannot be held responsible for the content, availability, prices or products of those websites.

5. Affiliate links and transparency

Hola Bambino! may earn a commission when you buy through our links, at no extra cost to you. Some “Purchase now” links in our catalogue are indeed affiliate links: the retailer may pay us a commission on the sale. The price you pay stays the same. Links added by users themselves are not affiliate links. These commissions allow us to offer the service for free.

6. Content published by users

Users are responsible for the content they add to their lists (titles, descriptions, links, images, messages). They agree not to publish any content that is unlawful, misleading or infringes the rights of third parties. Hola Bambino! may remove any manifestly unlawful content reported to it at contact@holabambino.fr.

7. Intellectual property

All elements of the website (visual identity, texts, logo, illustrations) are protected. Any unauthorised reproduction is prohibited.

8. Account deletion

Users can delete their account at any time from the My account page of their dashboard. Deletion erases the account, its lists, their items and the related reservations. Users can also write to us at contact@holabambino.fr.

9. Personal data

The processing of personal data is described in our privacy policy.

10. Changes to the terms of use

Hola Bambino! may update these terms of use. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page; registered users will be informed of any significant change.

11. Applicable law and disputes

These terms of use are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, we invite you to contact us first in order to seek an amicable solution. In accordance with Articles L612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, you may use a consumer mediator free of charge: [To be completed: consumer mediator (name and website)]. Failing an amicable resolution, the dispute will be brought before the competent French courts.
