Swedish Plus Test selection

The Swedish Plus Test is a voluntary, particularly demanding crash test for rear-facing (RWF) car seats only, carried out by the Swedish research institute VTI. Known as one of the strictest child car seat tests in the world, it focuses specifically on the forces exerted on a child’s neck in a severe frontal collision.

We only include rear-facing car seats that have passed the Swedish Plus Test. Travelling rear-facing for as long as possible is the recommended position to protect a young child’s head and neck. Always check the seat is compatible with your car.
